VOLUNTEERS
RCA survives on the commitment of trained professionals from overseas. Since 1990 over a thousand volunteers have generously given their time to help young people in our care. Some stayed for a week, others stayed for years. Volunteers come from all over the world but they all say one thing:
"They have gained more from their experience in Romania than they have been able to give."
In Romania we can use anyone who is adaptable and energetic. We particularly need people with skills in the following areas: horticulture, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, builders, woodwork, crafts, working with the disabled. Stays vary from 3 weeks to three months or more.
We expect volunteers to share their professional knowledge and skills, working closely with our local staff so we can look forward to the day when the programs we have put in place are all run by Romanians from our Romanian branch of ONV.
